To help support Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation’s 17th annual Evening of Caring Gala, The Pasta Polo invited its patrons to have an Evening of Caring at their restaurant between September 15th to September 30th. They could choose one of three menu selections and $8.00 from each meal was donated to the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation. The campaign raised over $360 for the hospital. Owner Fred Soffi also donated a dinner for four to the Evening of Caring auction where it got top dollar!

Brian Gallagher of Gallagher’s Coffee Bars located in Newport Village, Port Moody & Austin Ave in Coq. contributed over $1,200 to the Eage Ridge Hospital Foundation in June from their February Cinnamon Latte Have a Heart campaign. Joyce Gray an ERH nurse accepted a cheque on behalf of the foundation from Samantha Andreola, Gallagher’s Newport Village manager & Brian Gallagher.

Congratulations to Daniel Chui, ERH Foundation board member, for taking the lead to organize the Tri- City Health Promotion Day at Coquitlam Centre on Saturday May 26th. In addition to the big presence of Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation, organizations like Canadian Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke and Alzheimers had a presence. The BC Nurses Union did blood pressure and glucose checks and over 250 people participated.
Sherryl Nickel and Thelka Wright, ERH Foundation board members and a team of dedicated volunteers and corporate groups brought the Horse Raven Theatre’s Tony & Tina’s Wedding to the Tri-City on Saturday April 28th. More than 200 party goers experienced one of the most fantastic weddings in the Tri-City history. All proceeds are being donated to the hospital and a special cheque presentation took place at the ERH Foundation’s AGM in June. More than $10,000 was presented to the hospital foundation to help purchase critical medical equipment.

Thanks to Dean Wutke and Shawn Leclair, race directors of the 3rd annual Suburan RUSH 30 klm off road adventure race that took place on Saturday April 28th. They have made a donation to the hospital to support the purchase of critical medical equipment.
Hundreds laced up their sneakers to join the runners den of Newport Village, Port Moody as they hosted a great – but wet – morning of family fitness and fun on Sunday March 11, 2007. The event which stared at Port Moody City Hall offered all entrants a chance at great random prizes a
nd post-race fruit and beverages. Proceeds were donated to Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation.
Almost 50 people grabbed their skates and joined Westminster Savings Credit Union on Sunday January 21st, 2007 from 1:15 pm – 2:30 pm at Planet Ice in Coquitlam. It was a ‘drop in by donation’ event for families with all proceeds going to Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation. Check out the photo gallery.

Envision Financial’s Light the Lake was a joyful success for both Eagle Ridge Hospital and Douglas College Foundations. Thousands of residents greeted the Christmas season when Santa and Michael, the winner of the Now colouring contest, switched on the lights adorning a dozen trees at Coquitlam’s Lafarge Lake.
In the freezing temperatures, festival attendees kept warm with hot chocolate from Starbucks and hot apple cider from Thrifty’s while singing and dancing to Christmas songs from the Hilltop Bell Ringers, Eagle Ridge Children’s Choir, JP Chorus and Orchestra, Coastal Sound Chamber Choir and the Sound Evidence Band
